Josh Silva is a Senior Portfolio Strategist and Portfolio Manager on the firms Purchase Power Protection, Hedged Equity, and Risk Premium Equity strategies. Prior to joining Harvest, Mr. Silva was a Senior Portfolio Strategist and Portfolio Manager at Attalus Capital. Previously, he spent 12 years at Credit Suisse where he was a Managing Director in equity derivatives working both in New York and London. Josh started his career working for Societe Generale in the Eurodollar Options trading pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He holds and M.S. in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Laurel Mason is the Chief Compliance Officer at Harvest Volatility Management. Prior to joining Harvest, Laurel held roles on AQR Capital Management’s private funds and managed accounts legal team, in the corporate advisory practice of Feuerstein Kulick, LLP, and at Florio Leahy LLP, where she served as private fund counsel to SEC-registered investment advisers. Laurel received a J.D. cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. in international business from Rollins College. During law school, Laurel was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and served as an intern for Judge Carolyn E. Demarest in the Supreme Court of the State of New York Kings County Commercial Division.

Curt Brockelman is the Managing Partner, Co-Founder of Harvest Volatility Management, overseeing the firm’s portfolio and operational risk management, and responsible for the daily management of the firm’s investment and human capital. Prior to founding HVM, from 2003-2008, Mr. Brockelman was Chief Investment Officer and founder of Perch Bay Partners, LLC a volatility arbitrage hedge fund, trading index options on global markets. From 1996-2003, Mr. Brockelman was a Senior Vice President of Investments at Smith Barney and co-manager of The Brockelman Group. While at Smith Barney, he was a Directors’ Council member, and he grew his groups into one of the top revenue producing teams in the firm. Mr. Brockelman holds an A.B. in Economics from Duke University.

Richard L. Selvala, Jr. (Rick) is the CEO and Co-Founder of Harvest Volatility Management, LLC (HVM). HVM was launched in April of 2008 and manages a suite of options-based strategies that seek to either (a) add yield to client portfolios; (b) reduce risk in client portfolios; (c) reshape the return distribution of certain investments; (d) provide alternative sources of beta; and/or (e) improve the risk-adjusted returns of client portfolios. Depending on the objective and solution, HVM strategies are available as overlays; separately managed accounts; co-mingled funds and 40-Act vehicles. In addition to his role as CEO, Rick is part of the portfolio management team for the CYES and DDOS strategies.
Prior to founding HVM, Rick was the Co-Head of Volaris (a volatility management unit of Credit Suisse) focused on strategy development, marketing and sales. Prior to joining Volaris, he was a Director in the equity derivatives group at Credit Suisse responsible for hedging solutions for high net worth clients and third party intermediaries. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, he spent eight years at UBS advising the firm’s top corporate, institutional and high net worth clients regarding FX and equity derivative hedging solutions. Rick also spent four years with General Motors’ N.Y. Treasurer’s Office in Capital Markets and Fixed Income assignments. His last position was Manager of GM’s FX & Commodities Hedging group in New York. Rick graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 where he was a member of Pi Tau Sigma and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He received an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1990 where he was a General Motors’ Fellow. He lives in New Canaan, CT with his wife and three children

Troy Cates brings
Jonathan Molchan is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Harvest Volatility Management, where he focuses on the management and creation of new investment solutions. Prior to joining Harvest, Mr. Molchan was a Portfolio Manager and Head of Product Development at Horizons ETFs US, where he managed the firm’s options-based ETFs and helped led all aspects of strategy development. He has also held roles in portfolio management, risk, trading and research at Recon Capital Partners and Millennium Management. He started his career as an analyst at SAC Capital Advisors where he focused on various quantitative volatility strategies in addition to global long/short equity. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Sacred Heart University.

Currently Mr. Csillag is the Executive Director of Marketing at Harvest Volatility Management where he is responsible for the firm’s marketing efforts using both digital and traditional media channels, as well as handling the firm’s data analytics and CRM operations.
Previously he was an Associate on the marketing team at Global X ETFs where he focused on the seamless integration of Horizons ETFs (US) into the Global X brand, following the 2018 merger. During that time period Mr. Csillag lead the transition of all Horizons ETFs marketing activities, helping increase AUM by 50% during the changeover period.
Prior to Horizons ETFs (US) merging with Global X, he served as Marketing Associate at Horizons ETFs (US), where he created their digital marketing infrastructure across owned, paid, and earned media, helping to grow flagship fund, Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF (QYLD), by almost 300% in one year. Most notably, Mr. Csillag designed, developed, launched, and maintained a new corporate website for Horizons ETFs (US) while simultaneously managing a variety of digital campaigns, along with all fund material updates.
He holds a certificate in Digital Marketing from Cornell University, as well as certificates in both Google AdWords and Google Analytics. Mr. Csillag has his Series 7 license and completed his undergraduate studies at Elon university where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree.

Steve Yuan is an Executive Director at Harvest Volatility Management where he currently focuses on sales & distribution. Steve has 16 years of experience in the investment advisory, asset management and alternative investment industries. Prior to joining Harvest, Steve was a primary contributor to the spin out of Volaris Capital Management (VCM), a $2 Billion AUM options overlay group from Credit Suisse and was responsible for various different roles including portfolio management & trading, client portfolio management and business management.
Steve spent 14 years at Credit Suisse where he was part the of the Volaris team for 12 years and spent his 1st 3 years in the Fixed Income Division. Steve’s 1st job out of college was at Thomson Reuters.
Lewis is Executive Director at Harvest Volatility Management. His focus is on working with our partners in the institutional investment community. Prior to Harvest, he was Vice President of Institutional Sales at Ranger Capital where he found success for the firm with Endowments and Foundations, Consultant Driven searches, sub-advisory, and regional broker/dealers. Lewis attended The Ohio State University where he majored in both business management and competing on the varsity wrestling team. Lewis is involved in the community through being an assistant coach of his sons wrestling club, charitable organizations like Denver Active 20/30 and educational groups like AIMSE. Lewis is an avid hiker and SPARTAN race participant.

Ashwin Karanth is an Executive Director of Research and Trading at Harvest Volatility Management where he focuses on quantitative research, volatility trading and structuring. Prior to joining Harvest, Ashwin was a quantitative researcher and portfolio manager at Volaris Capital Management. He was part of the investment management team at Volaris where he was responsible for analyzing, structuring, trading and risk-managing Volaris options strategies which include yield enhancement and tail-risk hedging. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2014, Ashwin worked in information technology consulting and services as a senior technology consultant. Ashwin holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken.
Mario Colella is Executive Director of Sales for Harvest Volatility Management where he is responsible for cultivating and managing the firm’s institutional relationships. Prior to joining Harvest, Mr. Colella was a Director on the alternatives investments sales team at Stonehaven, a leading global placement agent specializing in hedge funds, private equity and real estate. Mr. Colella spent most of his career at Goldman Sachs in numerous senior roles in relationship management and risk in New York, London and Milan from 1997 through 2015. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Colella managed several derivative trading books and maintained key strategic relationships with clients in the US and abroad. Mr. Colella earned a B.A in Politics from Fairfield University graduating magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors. Mr. Colella lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife and twin boys.

MJ Lupton joined Harvest in November 2017. She is an Executive Assistant supporting Curtis Brockelman and Richard Selvala. MJ’s Executive Assistant career spans over 20 years in a variety of Asset Management firms. She was the Executive Assistant for the Head of Client Advisory and supported the Client Advisory team at BlueMountain Capital Management. Prior to BlueMountain, she was the Executive Assistant at Protégé Partners where she was the Executive Assistant to the co-Founder and supported the Risk and Investment Teams. She has held administrative positions at Capital Market Risk Advisor, a risk advisory firm, and Gordian Group, a boutique bankruptcy company. She is a member of 100 Women in Finance. MJ attended CUNY Hunter College.

Garrett Paolella is the Chief Operating Officer for Harvest Volatility Management, managing firm operations and heading up business development including new business lines and strategies. Prior to joining Harvest, Garrett served as a Managing Director and the Head of ETFs at Horizons ETFs Management U.S. where he ran all aspects of the U.S. Exchange Traded Fund business. Garrett had executive roles as Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer at Recon Capital Partners and previously as Executive Director at MKM Partners, a Research, Sales and Trading Firm based in Stamford, CT. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University. Garrett serves as Chairman of the Center for Advanced Financial Education (CAFÉ) Advisory Board at the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business.

Peter Montgomery is Executive Director of Sales for Harvest Volatility Management and is responsible for evolving the firm’s relationships with broker-dealer organizations and other strategic partners.
Prior to joining Harvest, Peter was a Senior Vice President in the Client Solutions Group at iCapital Network, where he focused on alternative investment solutions for the independent wealth advisory community. He spent the previous 10 years at Credit Suisse, most recently heading the Business Development and Operational teams within the Private Banking USA Alternative Investment Group; and before that as a member of the Volaris Volatility Management team within its Asset Management Division. Peter holds a BA in Philosophy from Hamilton College an MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.

Andrew Payne joined Harvest in 2011, as an Associate responsible for daily operations including trade processing, reconciliation and client services. Prior to joining Harvest, Andrew worked in the Communications department for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2010-2011 NBA Season. Andrew holds a B.A. in Economics from Washington and Lee University, from which he graduated in 2010. Andrew is a CFA charterholder and an active member of the CFA institute and New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
Dennis Davitt is a partner and Co-Portfolio Manager on the firms Purchase Power Protection (PPP) and Long/Short Replication (LSR) strategies. Prior to joining Harvest, Dennis had been Head of Derivative risk and trading for the Americas at Credit Suisse. While at Credit Suisse he was a member of the Global Equity Operating Committee and also developed the Credit Suisse Fear Barometer. Early in his career he had been one the original trading team members at Wolverine Trading developing relative volatility trading strategies. Dennis graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. Business Administration.
Ken Kwalik is a Managing Director and Co-Portfolio manager of Harvest’s Put and Call-writing strategies. Ken has over 15 years of experience in the volatility space, helping build businesses as a portfolio manager and trader across both market-making and advisory desks. Prior to joining Harvest, Ken was head of Portfolio Management & Trading with the Equity Solutions Group/Options Advisory Services (“GOAS”) team, a part of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Management Division. Previously, Ken traded for the Volaris team, a derivatives management group at Credit Suisse. Prior to Volaris, Ken spent 5 years as an options market-maker, primarily with SLK-Hull Derivatives, a Goldman Sachs company. Ken received his B.S. in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, with Dean’s List honors.
Tim is a Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager of Harvest’s Call Writing and Put Writing strategies with over sixteen years of experience trading and managing option portfolios. Prior to joining Harvest, Tim was co-head of Credit Suisse Volaris, responsible for the portfolio management of the two largest strategies and the head marketer. Prior to that, Tim was an options market maker for Tahoe Trading and Botta Capital Management. Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Duke University.
Allan Kennedy is the Head of Marketing and a Partner at Harvest Volatility Management LLC. Prior to joining Harvest in 2009, Allan spent eight years at Volaris, Credit Suisse’s volatility management group, based in New York, as Head of Marketing and as a member of the group’s management committee. Previously he worked for Morgan Stanley in New York and before that as a management consultant in the financial markets practice at Accenture in London and Washington DC. Allan holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, with Beta Gamma Sigma honors and a BSc from the University of Glasgow’s school of Mathematics and Statistics, with first class honors in Statistics. Allan is a CFA charterholder and an active member of the CFA institute and New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).

Mort Fearey is a Managing Director responsible for Harvest’s institutional marketing effort and joined the firm in 2015. Prior to joining Harvest, Mr. Fearey was a Managing Partner responsible for Marketing and Client Service at Westfield Capital Management in Boston. During his 15-year tenure in that role, the firm grew from $1.7 Billion to $17 Billion with a client base spanning Sub-Advisory, Corporate and Public Pensions, Endowment and Foundations as well as OCIO and DCIO relationships. Before Westfield, he held institutional asset management marketing roles at Santander Global Advisors, a firm that blended quantitative and fundamental techniques, and PanAgora Asset Management, where he focused on marketing the firm’s quantitative four factor country allocation emerging markets strategy. Mr. Fearey spent the first 8 years of his career selling banking services for Bank of Boston and State Street Bank and holds a BA in Psychology from Bates College.
Mike Zigmont has more than 12 years experience in volatility trading, research and structuring. Previously an Equity Options Trader and Quantitative Analyst with Volaris, Credit Suisse’s volatility management unit, he was responsible for risk management of OTC and listed options on $4 billion of client assets. Subsequent to joining Volaris, Mike was a Vice President with Morgan Stanley in the Structured Investments Group and OTC Hedging Desk within the Institutional Equities Division. He holds a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and studied at the University of Mainz in Germany.

Yirong has over 15 years in financial industry and trading technologies. Previously Yirong spent 7 years at Credit Suisse Volaris as portfolio manager and quantitative analyst. He was responsible for investment decisions on their $4 billion+ in assets and additionally established Volaris’ European trading platform that grew to $2 billion+ in assets. Prior to Credit Suisse, Yirong was technical director at Moneyline Telerate and led development efforts on 2 prominent fixed income trading platforms – Market Axess and TradeWeb. Yirong is a CFA charter holder. He holds an MBA from Columbia University, a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a B.S. from South China University of Technology.

P. Joseph Clough is Chief Financial Officer of Harvest Volatility Management, LLC. Prior to Harvest, Mr. Clough was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of XE Capital Management, LLC (“XECM”) where he oversaw the firm’s Finance, Treasury and Operational Risk Management. Prior to joining XECM, Mr. Clough was CFO and COO of ZS Structured Credit Capital Management, L.P. (“ZS”). Before joining ZS , Mr. Clough served as the CFO of Ramius Capital Group LLC, a global alternative investment firm. Prior to his employment at Ramius Capital Group LLC, Mr. Clough started as US Controller and ultimately finished his tenure as Chief Financial Officer of Zurich Capital Markets (“ZCM”), a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services Group. Prior to his employment at ZCM, Mr. Clough held positions at Tudor Investment Corporation as well as Cocke, Szpanka & Taylor, CPAs, PC. Mr. Clough has a B.S. in Accounting from Lynchburg College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Josh Jennings is the Chief Information Officer of Harvest Volatility Management, building on more than 20 years of experience developing software and systems for the banking, finance and wealth management sector. Prior to joining Harvest, Josh served as a consultant to the financial services industry, including several start-up fin-tech companies. Josh has also held diverse roles at Jefferies, NICE Actimize, Credit Suisse, Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, and Phoenix International (now D+H). Josh attended the University of Central Florida with a specialization in Computing and IT.

Nick has over 20 years of management and operational experience in the financial services industry. Previously Nick spent over 10 years as a Director with UBS on the OTC Hedging desk in the equity derivatives group with roles as a business manager and then in sales and structuring. Nick was responsible for executing customized equity derivative based hedging and monetization transactions for high net worth individuals. Prior to UBS, Nick was the head of Operations for NorthCoast Asset Management (Formerly Trendlogic Associates, Inc.) He holds a B.S. in Applied Psychology from Ithaca College.
Andrew has over 17 years of operational experience in the financial services industry. Previously Andrew spent 10 years as a Vice President with Credit Suisse within the Volaris group. His responsibilities included client servicing, trade support, compliance and all operational matters. Prior to joining Volaris, he held multiple roles within the Credit Suisse Private Bank. He holds a B.A. in Communications from SUNY Albany and MBA from St John’s University.
